Hey Everybody! Have you ever heard of Danny Phantom?
Danny Phantom is a Nickelodeon TV show that centers on the life and adventures of a 14-year-old Danny Fenton. He's an unpopular kid at Casper High School and just like any other teen he has to overcome many teen troubles like tests, teachers, peers and in Danny's case, ghosts. The show has many genres and incorporates many themes into each episode so here are the basics. He lives with his eccentric ghost hunting parents, Maddie and Jack, and a 16-year-old sister, Jazz. When under pressure from his best friends, Sam and Tucker, he wanders inside his parent's Ghost Portal. He accidentally presses the on button that zaps his entire body, infusing his DNA with Ectoplasm, transforming him into a half ghost. Don't worry if you haven't seen the first episode (Mystery Meat) and think you will be confused with the plot of the episode because thanks to Guy Moon (creator of the opening theme to Danny Phantom) the song explains what happened. Going back to the show, Danny, who calls himself 'Danny Phantom' in ghost form, develops the ability to fly, become invisible, and turn his body intangible. Danny panics over his ghost powers at first, but he soon realizes that he can use his powers to protect his town, Amity Park, from ill-meaning ghosts. After the defeat of a Lunch Lady Ghost, Danny turns to the life of a superhero, using his powers to rid his hometown from the various ghosts that cause havoc. Danny's best friends, techno-geek Tucker Foley and goth-girl Sam Manson support Danny and help him with his ghost fighting. How's that for a teenage life.
What makes this show so special is the effort that it's creators put into it to make it so realistic. Butch Hartman (creator of Danny Phantom, Fairly Odd Parents and coming this fall TUFF Puppy) even pointed out that Danny Phantom was the only cartoon character to have 5 fingers. As the show progresses you even see how Danny Fenton matures and how Danny Phantom gains new powers. (But I wont give anything away) Danny Phantom, by far, has got to be the best show Nickelodeon has ever aired. It's humor appeals to audiences of all ages and like said earlier it has every enjoyable genre such as romance, action and humor. I have dedicated this website in hopes of getting Danny Phantom back on Nickelodeon. And yes, I am aware of its showings on Nicktoons but that doesn't really cut it. Danny Phantom has to pick up where it left off, Nick has to set it back into production and begin airing season 4. I know this task may sound crazy but I am very motivated and I wont give up easily. Other shows such as Kim Possible on Disney Channel came back for another season so why can't Danny Phantom? I also know that time has gone by since the show was canceled but I also know that Butch Hartman along with the writers, animators and voice talents from Danny Phantom are still working for Nickelodeon. Therefore there is still hope. I know that with your help we can get the mission done by writing letters, making phone calls or simply emailing people of importance. Until Danny Phantom returns I'm going to try my best to provide you with anything I can to keep your Danny Phantom Flame going. So what are you waiting for, check out the website, look at videos, play the games, write on the forum, write up some fan fiction but above all remember to have fun while Going Ghost!
**************************************************************************** Hey Guys, I'm so shocked that we've hit 2013 and I feel like I started this site such a long time ago... I know I've been on a hiatus on this page for awhile but I still haven't forgotten about this show. Every once in awhile I get an email about a post on this website and it just makes me smile again. I don't know about the chances of this show coming back but that doesn't mean that it's impossible. I mean look at Arrested Development, I believe it took 7 years to get that show back on the "air" via Netflix. I feel that maybe in this day and age there are new possibilities for reviving tv shows that weren't as simple as writing letters or emails. My last thoughts on this are to look for Butch Hartman and try to get in a good word on pushing Nickelodeon for more Danny Phantom. Hmm maybe Nickelodeon could air some episodes of Danny Phantom through Netflix if that proves to be cheaper... Well Hartman has a twitter account here, and he had a YooToon channel on Youtube last year which was pretty cool (can't believe I missed it). But that's all that can be said for now... I won't be giving out prizes anymore but I hope you can still find this a great place to reminisce about Danny Phantom and the gang...
Until next time... Maybe we can come up with a great idea soon. I'll try and keep in touch. June 2013
